Penn State Abington, the University of Pennsylvania Access Science Program, and the University of Pennsylvania GRASP robotics lab have collaborated to assist in a hands-on robotics design program at University City High School (UCHS) in West Philadelphia.  High school senior students at UCHS used Lego Mindstorms robot kits and RoboLab software to design robots for the Penn State Abington "Robo-Hoops" contest in December of 2003.  Prof. Bob A. visited the class on a regular basis to provide instruction to the students in robotics design.  Scott Koehler is the lead UCHS  teacher in this effort. Two Penn undergraduate students served as teaching assistants.  Pictures were taken by pictures by Bob A. at the UCHS location and during high school visit to the Penn GRASP lab.
